Responsiveness
p50 and p95 responsiveness, stable update cadence, backpressure handling, and recovery after pauses, bursts, or reconnects.

Build challenge
Build an end-to-end prototype for a real-time knowledge interface that stays stable while information and user actions keep changing.
The challenge explores real-time knowledge interfaces that reduce cognitive load in dense learning environments.
What matters
Strong submissions should be honest about responsiveness, update policy, traceability, uncertainty, and failure modes. The target is reliable real-time AI infrastructure, not a staged interface demo.
p50 and p95 responsiveness, stable update cadence, backpressure handling, and recovery after pauses, bursts, or reconnects.
Accuracy and usefulness under ambiguous inputs, numbers, notation-like language, corrections, and mixed terminology. Outputs must be reliable enough for rigorous review.
Connect system outputs to supporting evidence with confidence, traceability, and clear failure states. Discontinuous support should still be reviewable.
User actions must remain attached to the intended material as content updates, revisions, reconnects, and multi-user synchronization occur.
Explain observability, retry policy, timeouts, data handling, deployment assumptions, and where deterministic checks beat model judgment.
The evaluator can run or inspect the system, understand the architecture, and see the tradeoffs without a sales demo.
Prize duration will be confirmed before judging begins. Winners will be contacted at the submitted email address. Prize delivery begins after eligibility and ownership checks. Finalists may be publicly featured only if they opt in.
Submit a working demo or reviewable code path. Registered entrants receive the private technical spec and evaluation packet. The demo may use any real-time, storage, or model stack. The judging focuses on responsiveness, stability, traceability, and engineering judgment.
