Role details for Founding Growth Marketer
The person
- You are the person who creates motion before there is a playbook.
- You do not wait for a polished brand, perfect funnel, or approved strategy. You talk to users, write clearly, test angles, build lightweight demos, and come back with what is actually true.
- You are not “marketing.” You are not “content.” You are the person who finds the path from zero attention to real demand.
What you will own
- You will own market truth and be the voice of Classiqo.
- That means learning what professors care about, what students respond to, and what proof Classiqo needs to earn trust & attention.
- You will help Classiqo understand the outside world faster than a normal startup can.
What you will work on
- Professor, student, and university discovery & partnership
- Content that earns qualified replies
- Lightweight demos, landing pages, notes, and experiments
- Distribution tests across LinkedIn, email, communities, and partnerships
- Turning conversations into product and positioning decisions
- Finding the smallest proof that creates serious interest
You will be a fit if you can
- Use AI tools as a daily part of your growth workflow: market research, list building, copy testing, outbound drafting, automation, CRM hygiene, landing-page iteration, and conversation analysis.
- Create motion before there is a playbook.
- Independently run discovery with professors, students, universities, and adjacent buyers.
- Write messages that earn qualified replies from smart, skeptical people.
- Build lightweight landing pages, forms, demos, email flows, LinkedIn posts, and experiments without waiting for a full team.
- Turn conversations into sharp market notes: objections, repeated pain, urgency, willingness to pay, and product implications.
- Separate real demand from polite interest.
- Run small distribution tests across LinkedIn, email, communities, partnerships, and warm intros.
- Measure what matters: reply quality, conversion, meeting quality, retention signal, and whether the message creates serious interest.
- Move fast without sounding generic, spammy, or fake.
- Feed market truth back into product, positioning, and hiring.
- Preferred experience
- Experience doing founder-led sales, outbound, growth, content, or customer discovery.
- Experience with B2B SaaS, edtech, productivity tools, university markets, or expert-user products.
- Ability to build simple growth systems with Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, Zapier, scripts, or AI agents.
- Strong writing across LinkedIn, email, landing pages, and short product narratives.
- Experience turning messy qualitative feedback into positioning and product insight.
- Bonus experience
- Experience selling or marketing to professors, schools, universities, or technical audiences.
- Experience building a content or outbound engine from zero.
- Experience using AI to scale research, personalization, and experiment velocity without losing taste.
